Guide
Buying a monetized YouTube channel
A monetized YouTube channel is already in the YouTube Partner Program and earning from ads, so you can earn from day one. Check its monetization status, revenue history and sources, and standing, then buy through escrow and connect your own payment account after the handover.
Updated
Check the monetization status
Every SwapCreators listing shows its monetization status, from monetized to eligible, pending, or not monetized, and whether the channel is in the YouTube Partner Program. Filter channels for sale by monetization to see only monetized ones.
Check the revenue and where it comes from
Look at monthly revenue over recent months and the sources behind it: ad revenue, sponsorships, affiliate links, memberships, or merchandise. Ask the seller to share revenue screenshots in chat or show YouTube Studio live.
Check the channel’s standing
Strikes and warnings can affect monetization, so every listing shows copyright strikes, Community Guidelines strikes, and warnings, plus whether monetization was ever rejected or disabled.
Take over the earnings
Pay through escrow, and once the escrow agent has handed the channel over, connect your own payment account for monetization. The seller is paid after you have the channel.
Questions
- Can you buy a monetized YouTube channel?
- Yes. SwapCreators lists channels with their monetization status, revenue, and revenue sources, and you can filter to see only monetized channels. Payment is held in escrow until the channel is handed over.
- Does monetization stay after buying a channel?
- Monetization belongs to the channel itself. After the handover you connect your own AdSense payment account so the earnings go to you; YouTube Help has the current steps, and the escrow agent can point you to them.
- What should I check before buying a monetized channel?
- Monetization status, recent revenue and its sources, view trends, audience countries, and any strikes or warnings. Ask the seller for Studio screenshots or a live walkthrough before you pay.
