About SwapCreators

What is SwapCreators?

SwapCreators is a marketplace built only for buying and selling YouTube channels. Every listing reports the same figures in the same format, including subscribers, views, audience, monetization, revenue, and strikes, so buyers can compare channels quickly.

Is SwapCreators affiliated with YouTube or Google?

No. SwapCreators is an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

What role does SwapCreators play in a sale?

SwapCreators runs the whole sale safely from start to finish. Sellers verify ownership and list their channel with complete details, our team reviews every listing, and buyers compare channels, chat with sellers, and make offers.

When a deal is agreed, SwapCreators acts as the escrow agent: the buyer’s payment is held securely, our escrow agent guides the channel handover, and the seller is paid once the buyer has the channel. If anything goes wrong, the escrow agent steps in and decides the outcome.

Buying channels

What should I check before buying a channel?

Look at traffic consistency over time rather than a single month, where views come from, the audience’s countries and ages, monetization status, how revenue is earned, and any active copyright or Community Guidelines strikes.

Ask the seller for a live screen-share of YouTube Studio analytics and revenue reports, and compare them with the listing. The Trust & Safety guide has a full checklist.

What does “Ownership verified” mean on a listing?

It means the seller proved they control the channel by adding a one-time code to its public description, which SwapCreators checked directly with YouTube. You know you are dealing with the real owner.

Subscribers and views come straight from YouTube. Revenue and analytics are reported by the seller, who can share Studio screenshots with you in chat, and you can ask for a live Studio walkthrough before you pay.

How do I contact a seller or make an offer?

Use “Chat with seller” on the listing page to ask questions, or “Make an offer” to send an amount the seller can accept, decline, or counter. Keep all conversation on SwapCreators so there is a clear record if anything is disputed later.

Selling channels

How do I list my channel?

Start from the Sell a Channel page. It explains what to prepare, how your listing is presented, and how listings are reviewed before they are published.

What will I need to provide as a seller?

Channel statistics, 28-day and longer-term views, audience geography, monetization status, revenue figures with their sources, channel age, any strikes, and a clear description of what transfers with the channel.

Be ready to show evidence from YouTube Studio. You will never be asked for your Google password.

What does it cost to sell?

Listing is free and there is no success fee: sellers receive the full agreed price. The only SwapCreators fee on a sale is the escrow fee, a percentage of the price with a minimum, normally paid by the buyer. The Fees page shows the current rate, payout fees by method, and an estimator for your total costs.

Monetization & analytics

What do the monetization statuses mean?

“Monetized” means the channel currently earns through the YouTube Partner Program. “Eligible, not monetized” means it meets the program’s thresholds but is not earning. “Not monetized” covers everything else.

Monetization can change after a sale, and YouTube decides who stays in its Partner Program.

Does the seller’s AdSense account transfer with the channel?

No. AdSense accounts belong to the person or business that opened them and should not be handed over. The buyer connects their own payment account after taking ownership, following Google’s current process.

Why do listings show views for the last 28 days?

It mirrors a standard YouTube Studio reporting window, which makes it easy to compare a listing with the evidence a seller shares. Ask for longer periods too, to judge consistency.

Are listing figures independently checked?

Listing figures are reported by the seller. Always confirm them against live YouTube Studio data before you agree to anything.

Fees & escrow

How does escrow protect me?

The buyer pays into SwapCreators escrow, not to the seller, and the seller only hears that the buyer has paid once we’ve confirmed the payment. The channel then moves through the SwapCreators escrow agent, and the funds are released to the seller only after the channel has been handed to the buyer. The full rules are in the Escrow Terms.

Escrow protects the payment, not the value of the channel. Do your due diligence before you agree a price, and check the channel as soon as you receive it.

When do I see the fees for my sale?

Every fee, and who pays it, is shown on the transaction summary before anyone pays. The Fees page explains each fee and has an estimator for the total cost.

Ownership transfer

How is ownership of a YouTube channel transferred?

On SwapCreators, the handover is guided step by step by our escrow agent, using Google’s own permission tools for channels connected to a Brand Account. The buyer’s payment stays in escrow the whole time, and the seller is paid once the buyer has the channel.

No one ever needs a Google password, recovery codes, or sign-in codes, so both accounts stay safe throughout.

Am I allowed to sell or buy a YouTube channel?

Buying and selling YouTube channels is common practice. Buyers and sellers are responsible for following YouTube’s and Google’s terms and local law, so if you have a specific legal question about your situation, a qualified professional can advise you.

Refunds & disputes

What happens if the transfer doesn’t complete?

You’re protected: your money stays in escrow until the channel is handed over. If the seller doesn’t complete their steps, open a dispute from the transaction page and the escrow agent can cancel the deal and refund you. Refunds go back the way you paid, to your SwapCreators balance or to the account you paid from. The Escrow Terms have the details.

How are disputes handled?

The buyer opens a dispute from the transaction page any time after escrow is funded and before funds are released, describing what doesn’t match the listing or what went wrong. Release is paused while both sides give evidence. The escrow agent then decides: carry on, release to the seller, refund the buyer, or split the money. A buyer can open one dispute per transaction; the details are in the Escrow Terms.

Fraud, privacy & security

How can I spot a suspicious listing or buyer?

Be cautious of prices far below comparable channels, refusal to show live analytics, pressure to pay outside your SwapCreators transaction, requests for passwords or verification codes, and unexplained spikes in subscribers or views.

How do I report a problem?

Contact SwapCreators through the Contact page and choose “Trust & safety”. Include the listing link and any messages involved. Never share passwords or verification codes, even with someone claiming to be SwapCreators staff.

What does SwapCreators do with my data?

The Privacy Policy explains what is collected, why, who it is shared with, and your rights. Your light or dark theme choice is stored only in your own browser.
